Laboratory confirmation of dengue and chikungunya co-infection

Abstract


Dengue fever and chikungunya are arboviral diseases transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. Unlike dengue, chikungunya typically consists of a self-limiting and nonfatal acute illness characterised by fever, rash and incapacitating arthralgia.
