Focus and Scope
SLLIM is a journal for all those concerned with librarianship, information management, records management, information technology and any other related discipline. It aims to provide a forum for the up and coming library and information professionals of Sri Lanka to present their research findings. At the same time it will function as a bridge between the Sri Lankan professionals and the international researchers, educators and library professionals in academic, public, school and other types of libraries in communicating a variety of professional issues. SLLIM will publish articles, reports, reviews and short communications on:
- Ongoing provincial, national, regional and international projects
- Current research
- Theories and their applications
- Training and education
General principles
Contributions may comprise: previously unpublished research-based papers; news or reviews of current developments; descriptions of practical projects or innovations; surveys of the documentation (both print and non-print) on particular subject areas; literature surveys; policy reforms; technological issues which affect library and information provision; reviews and notices of items which may not otherwise come to the Editor's attention.
